About the Project
Even though we are in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic and subject to a number of quickly changing parameters, we are formulating plans for roadway improvements along the SE 2nd Street Corridor. If restrictions and conditions allow, our plan is to make several roadway improvements within the City’s existing right-of-way between April and October 2020.
Funded in part through a grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the City of Ontario, this project will include road widening, intersection realignments, utility relocation, and the construction of new bike lanes, detached sidewalks, driveway approaches, ADA curb ramps, and landscaping. ODOT will be managing the project on a daily basis, but please refer to the schedule at the bottom of this page for specific project location areas and work timelines.

Updates
ODOT and Knife River will be moving into Phase III of the project the week of 9/28/2020. This will impact the SE 2nd Street/SE 5th Avenue intersection which will be closed during Phase III. A detour route will be set up around the intersection.
