JACOBS Engineering maintains the beautiful parks in Ontario. Future plans for the City's parks are directed by the Parks Master Plan which was approved in 2018. City Parks include: Beck-Kiwanis Park, Lanterman Park, Optimist Park, Lions Park, Moore Park, Sunset Park, Laxson Rotary Park, Alameda Park, and Railroad Depot Park. |
Parks Master PlanThe Parks Master Plan is used as a long-range guide for park and recreation services in Ontario. It was approved by City Council in 2018 and gives direction and policies for acquiring and developing parks, open space, trails, and other recreation facilities.

Park Reservations and Special Events
For park picnic shelter reservation availability, please call (541) 881-3201. Reservation requests are made on a first come, first serve basis Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Reservations must be made at least fifteen days prior to the date of the reservation request.
NOTE: Approved reservations take precedence over any/all non-reserved situations. Ontario's parks offer a variety of opportunities for recreation. Reserve a picnic shelter for birthday parties, family reunions, baby showers, school reunions, community events. Special Events Permit Application |
Cemeteries
Arrangements for the City's two cemeteries (Evergreen Cemetery and Sunset Cemetery) are typically made through a funeral home. Burials are usually scheduled Monday through Friday, and Saturday by special arrangement.

Facilities
The Facility Maintenance Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of municipal facilities. This includes general maintenance and repair work, the implementation of preventative maintenance programs, and the administering of service contracts (janitorial, HVAC, electrical, elevator, etc.). This division is also charged with the oversight of facility-related projects, including remodels and systems upgrades.
