The purpose of this white paper is to summarize contemporary research of the economic impacts of taxation policy on the marijuana industry. The City of Ontario is debating tax policy on marijuana and would like to know the economic impact of such policy alternatives.

Marijuana Education
In Oregon, as of July 1, 2015, adults 21 and older can legally possess and use recreational marijuana. Always remember to educate before you recreate. Some cities and/or counties within the State of Oregon may have passed additional ordinances regulating use within their jurisdictions. Make sure you are educated on the ordinances and regulations in your area.
