What do we do?
The visitors and Conventions Bureau Board convention is designed to market a destination to the traveling public and provide area resources and advice to tourists, event and meeting planners and the media. The Visitors and Convention Board is composed of seven voting members appointed by the City Council from the following industries:
(A) One member shall represent the retail business industry in the City;
(B) One member shall represent the retail food industry in the City;
(C)One member shall represent the hotel/motel industry in the City;
(D) One member shall represent the service industry in the City;
(E) One at large member representing agriculture or other industries impacted by visitors and conventions in the City;
(F) One member from the City; and
(G) One member from the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The Board shall generally meet monthly, however, the board shall at least meet once per calendar quarter.
