What do we do?
The Commission is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and maintaining an inventory of historic resources in the City of Ontario. It reviews land use conflicts affecting historic sites, designates landmarks, and oversees changes to those landmarks. The Commission also manages the Façade Grant Program, provides funding assistance for preservation efforts, and collaborates with public and private entities to protect and promote the city’s historic assets.
