    The Public Works Department is responsible for project management, technical engineering services, design, construction and maintenance of streets, domestic water and sanitary sewer facilities, storm sewer, wastewater treatment and water treatment facilities; building and safety; directs the operation and maintenance of facilities used by the department, including the Public Works Shop, Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant, the operations and maintenance of public facilities such as streets, storm sewers and sanitary sewer collection.
